The final idea.

Our final idea is to create a number 2 for each season being winter, summer, autumn and spring. Different types of media will be used like leaves, cotton wool, and a variety of objects which make the season obvious to others. We could use be using sound effects and music to also help with this.

We started of collecting the objects we need including leaves and cotton wool for a start while Jodie started cutting out the base for the number 2 which was foam card.

jodie drew round one of the previous number 2 models to get the size we need. Then she carefully cut round the 2 with a scalpel and a ruler making sure her fingers were out of the way of the blade.  Jodie hard to go over the same parts again and again until the blade had gone straight though the foam card. 

The metal 2 behind our 2 is the template we used, to make ours. 

To make it thick we put foam card on top of foam card, 3 on each except the summer one which has 4. 

Initial ideas.

-Water and food colouring: This would be done by using an open topped 3D structure of the number 2 it would have to be open top so water can be poured into it. The camera would be filming from above and different colours of food colouring will be dropped into the water to show the number 2 being created.

-Makeup: A stop frame idea for applying makeup onto the face making the number 2. Bright colours would be used to make the 2 stand out against the skin.

-Leaves: Could be stuck down in a number 2 underneath a whole pile of leaves which are then blown away by a fan revealing the number underneath.

-Fry up: Use sausages, eggs and bacon to make a number 2.

-2 shaped balloons: inflated and let off into the sky.

- Shave the number 2 into someone's hair.

-Bake a cake in the shape of a number 2 and decorate it with candles in the shape of a 2.

These are the given jobs for each person in our team, but we will all work together to get jobs done and share our ideas together to get a better conclusion and so its also more time effective.

Channel 4 ident.

I like how Channel 4 has used programmes they actually play on the channel for an ident to advertise channel 4. I find it really clever. obviously for our project we won't be able to use something like this as we have to make a 3D number two for our project.

what I will be using to make the mini clip.

We will be using this to video our little clip for the BBC 2 ident, its pretty easy to use, and you can play it back to watch what you've done, and also delete it if you don't like it, also when you have finished recording you can just plug it into the computer and download it straight away.  

Research.

I looked at ITV idents and the one thing they all have in common for advertising itv is the fact nearly every ident has either something yellow or gold in the mini movie.

in the video above the bubbles are yellowy gold. in the video below...

the fish are yellowy gold. I feel its good to follow a theme because then at least you know what the advertisement is about because you can tell by either the music or the colour or what the video contains.

Research.

This is a BBC one ident. I thought this was simple and effective, alot of the different idents have there own styles for example bbc two always has a number two in the ident where as bbc one always has some sort of circle forming, in this case above its bicycles going around in a circle. Another bbc one ident is also showing a circle somehow in the video shown below.
